Rokuo and his team of Yokai go into the Torii labyrinth in search of Fushime-Inari, the site of the spiral Seal. The man who told him about its location didn't seem to be the lying type to him, so Rikuo accepted his words in turn. There may be some truth to think it could be to do with Hagaromo-Gitsune, though he can't be sure. All of them are in their usual guises when as yokai, Arashima is in his female mode though and this might get him into some trouble along the way .

When Arashima touches a sacred rock, she is taken into another world where a many armed demon god attacks her. The first episode in this new series is creepy as ever with Arashima thinking she is still with the group until she sees a crying child. By this time Rikuo and the others were in the distance a moment ago, but when she looks again, she sees they aren't there. This is when she realises the demon god has tricked her and it could cost her her life. She finds out in time that the demon is an ayakashi who preys on the fears of a child, all his intention is to make the child suffer.

While all this is happening, Hidemoto, an onmyoji brings down the seal and announces that until all eight seals are in place there will be no peace in Kyoto. Hidemoto had created the invincible spiral seal, a barrier around Kyoto to keep the ayakashi away. The spiral connected all the ley lines and in order for the ayakashi to get in, they have to break each of them in turn, rendering it useless. One request he asks is that he and the others join the onmyoji if they want to re-seal the barriers, as Hagoramo-Gitsune is ready to enter and give birth to a child of great evil.

Series 2 part 2 couldn't start with a more powerful set of episodes where Nura's yokai are tested to the maximum against a four-armed demon. If Hagoramo-Gitsune succeeds she will have created a Demon Capital, one where she and her men will have plenty of livers to dine on. Rikuo has to do a lot of soul searching if he is to beat his enemies and also look to the past when he travelled with Yuki. What we find out is that Rikuo is a very strong leader, but even this is tested as he begins to look weak in front of the demon and becomes faced with inner problems as if he isn't a strong enough leader, then his men will cease to be strong as well.

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan is the sort of anime that can be watched by teen men or women alike.

Bonus Material:  Production Art and Official Trailer.

Verdict: Action packed, Nura doesn't let up for a minute.
