JAPAN TRAVEL REVIEW: TOP 10 TOKYO (EYEWITNESS TRAVEL) BY STEPHEN MANSFIELD

Top 10 Tokyo (Eyewitness Travel) by Stephen Mansfield

Blurb: Ever wondered what to do when visiting Japan, this thin, travel friendly book (with map) will give you all you need to stay safe and enjoy the sights, sounds, people and culinary delights of the mysterious east.

What to expect:
A guide for the otaku with manga on tap and the sort of places you would want to visit:

Most fun children s activities
Historic Temples and Shrines
Best restaurants in each area
Hot springs
Best bars & clubs
Historic temples

Review:
I flipped through this particular edition until I got to what I would consider the goldmine of otaku fun - a couple of pages dedicated to places where those of a manga mind would want to go to, starting on page 44. It lists the top ten culture venues plus a top ten cultural phenomenon section. Though it isn't just this part of the travel book I would want to highlight, the rest of the book is interesting and full of tips and cheats for those who perhaps haven't ever been to Japan, while those who have, might have a better trip next time if theirs was a whistle stop tour the first time around.
