Sasuke Uchiha has been through hell and back with his recent fight to the death with his evil brother, Itachi only to find himself tied up and kept in a hidden location while a mysterious masked man tells him the real truth behind what his brother did in the hope that he would believe him. In this two disc set of Naruto Shippuden, viewers are treated to a different story about Itachi's life and the sacrifices he made for the good of his clan. It comes as a shock to the system to hear this mystery man's account of what happened several years ago, and it is even stranger once we discover who he actually is.

Now that they are no longer known as the Hebi, Sasuke's group have joined with the Akatsuki, and Sasuke has renamed them the Taka. The main objective is for them to track down and capture the remaining tailed beast Jinchuriki for the plan to work. This introduces another character, Killer Bee, also known as the eight-tails Jinchuriki who comes to fight against the might of the Taka, and eventually getting captured by them even though this isn't what he wanted.

Naruto Shippuden has come a long way to this series of events. First up is a mini arc concerning the missing woman who had originally been forced to spy on other villages, and an intriguing back story about Jiraiyas past when he was being trained by the toad sages. Other than Sasuke being upset at killing his own brother, Itachi, this is the major story arc that sees Jiraiya as the instigator of a plan that would see his former pupil starting a group that could potentially destroy the world. This is the start of a new arc that sees one of the Akatsuki members making themselves known to the Taka.

Naruto has always been cited as the best anime series around, and it is this box set that tells us why we enjoy the story, the arcs, action, fight scenes and heartwarming scenes of love which is rare in anime of this kind.

Bonus Material: Production Art and Trailers for other anime series.

Verdict: This is one of the box sets fans have been waiting for for ages - and it doesn't fail to impress!
