Passion and power in a fantasy setting.

Saihoshi the Guardian Vol 1 is an erotic tale of a kingdom on the brink of war with only one brave warrior standing in the way of cruel and dangerous invaders.
Sastre acts as the almost reluctant warrior Prince Anel enlists to save their country on one condition; Sastre must go to their neighbouring kingdom with servant, Kaleth disguised as the prince. Kaleth is to marry the princess there to settle the disputes their two kingdoms have had in the past. Kaleth, on the other hand has a deep affection for the prince, though is unhappy at how easy it is for him to send him to his death should the princess discover his treachery.

This novel is for those who enjoy delving into a fantasy world of guardians, princes and sensual, sword fuelled bromance with characters who have readers waiting for the next volume in a popular series. Sastre and Anel are a good example of opposites; Sastre does his best to keep Kaleth safe on their journey even though a chance meeting with someone familiar halfway stops him in his tracks. Prince Anel is the selfish ruler who has no interest in Kaleth or the princess, but has designs on Sastre.

Saihoshi the Guardian Vol 1 is a manga graphic novel written in the Western style for female readers who like to read about male/male relationships (called yaoi ) and is meant for readers who are 18 and over due to the sexual content of the novel's scenes. This is a dramatic tale of two men sent into the very brink of war where jealousy, bitter rivalry and intense love reign in this luscious fantasy setting.
