YAOI REVIEW: LIGHT HORSE & CANNON BY LLYNX RUFUS

Light Horse and Cannon by Llynx Rufus
Light Horse & Cannon
Llynx Rufus

Synopsis:
American artist Llynx Rufus brings us a light-hearted tale from the Napoleonic War era in Light Horse and Cannon. When Hungarian Voros Macska (his friends call him Paprika) of the 5th Hussars wanders wounded into the Hess-Darmstadt Artillery camp, German Corporal Hans Mintz is eager to tend to his wounds using an aromatic extract from the family PFEFFERMINTZ industry.

Get it? Paprika + Mintz = peppermintz? More than just clever wordplay is at stake as these two uncommon lovers share a common secret between them and the flaps of their rain-soaked military tent.

Review:
If the cover art isn't enough to set your heart racing, then the character concepts and other artwork on  the Yaoi Revolution website should suffice. It's a tale about love beyond status and desire beyond the war they are a part of. What makes this a real treat is that the entire manga is in full colour. What's not to like?
