It's cool to have a triple bill of movies, and after such a long spate of duo movies, this is the Broly set and it is great to also have movies that form a continuation that is interesting and moving to watch. I will go through these movies one at a time as the arc is extensive to say the least and worthy of me mentioning a few key things.

Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan:

Kaio demands Goku to come save the world again, not noticing that Chichi might not feed him for a long time as he is in the middle of an interview that could determine the future of his son. The reason? A Legendary Super Saiyan has already torn up the rest of the galaxy, and now he's headed for the Northern end where Kaio is - that's why he needs Goku to fend him off.

Out of the way, Prince Vegeta is being asked to follow the Super Saiyan and join an offshoot of the Saiyan race in a bid for supremacy.

In this movie's timeline, it is thirty years since Planet Vegeta was destroyed by the evil Freeza and his new comrade thinks it is overdue for the planet to be rebuilt, naming it New Planet Vegeta as a way to repay him for all he did for his father. Along with his welcome, there is also the matter of the man he is about to meet - who turns out to be Broly the Super Saiyan.

Broly's Second Coming:

When an investigation into a crashed ship unearths something more, we know Goku and co. might want to sit up and take notice, as yet again the world is in peril. It has been seven years since the fight wit Broly and they thought they had seen the last of him, but revenge has a way of cropping up at the worst of times and it takes Goku all he has to protect the ones he holds dear.

Thankfully we get to see more humour in this movie, even if it is shorter and it's still hard to believe that this was first out in 1994. Trunks, Gohan, Goten and Videl only find out about Broly's resurrection when they discover a village where a monster is on the loose. Compared to the others, this one is shorter, but has more of an impact as a result.

Bio-Broly:
The earth is under threat again from a bio engineered version of Broly who Goku and his pals thought they had got rid of in the last movie. Bad guys have a way of coming back, but there is more to this story than first thought.

It all starts with Mr Satan being asked out for a fight by an old rival. As a wily sort of guy, he brings his friends along who just happen to be some of the best fighters in the galaxy; Android 18, Goten and Trunks. There is a good reason why Android 18 is hanging around though; he wants his payment for the last time he fought for him and suspects Mr Satan might cheat him out of what's his.

Broly must be one of those characters fans can't get enough of as he's back again as a newer version of the bad guy everyone loves to hate. Mr Satan's rival isn't as honest a guy as he would think as he has included bio-engineered fighters to take his on - and this time we have a more updated version of Broly who is bigger and harder than ever - in green.

As a final movie to end the Broly series, liking it, or not is a matter of personal opinion for each fan as Broly isn't resurrected as most would have liked and everyone's favourite character isn't the lead in this one. As with most of what I review, I would say give watching this a go as it also goes to show that Goten, Trunks and Krillin got centre stage for once.

Bonus Material: Trailers.

Verdict: By far the first two are the best in the trilogy!
