Synopsis:

Review:
The story is narrated rather sensually by Caine, the dragon king of Darkhelm who was sent a sacrifice, Jonah the knight. But as he has taken to their demonic ways, becoming demon-like and sporting black eyes instead of blue, Caine wonders why it is when he has made him his son, he still has devious desires for him.

Before, Jonas had come to be around his minister Randall, and had watched them indulge in love-play as only demons could do, but when Randall wasn't around, Caine had indulged in role-play with him - even Randall doesn't know what they got up to together, and never wants him to find out.  As he originally sought to be only his father and love him as a father should, he feels as though he has released his own devil as he can't control his half-human son's sexual desire for him.

The descriptions of how Jonas appeared before Caine are exquisite down to what  he is wearing (covered in jewels from head to toe), the way he fears that Jonas could become a problem in the royal court should word get out and the possibility of a visit from Prince Thurber could be the worst thing that could happen to his life as a demon king, but it's surely what Jonas could do to him if his desire should become too wanton.

Archie the Red Cat has done the cover art for this title as she has done so many before, and showed off the sexy look of the characters, especially the sexy prince and the darker demon. Vanquished Prince has all the elements of the other stories in the Vanquished series and keeps the reader wanting to read more of the same, shocking and erotic novels.
