Christie Gordon is a writer of M/M Yaoi novels and short stories, and when she isn't sat at her computer thinking up naughty ideas for her bishies, she's drawing them. Her art is drawn using Corel Painter X and a Wacom tablet.
Christie specialises in portrait art where she gets right into how the character looks in a specific scene. Above is the portrait of Lucien, who like other portraits in her series is based on the characters in her novels.
Below is Black Angel Hyde, the artist's interpretation of L'Arc N Ciel's lead singer Hyde beautifully realised as a dark angel ready to swoop. The contrast of red against black and then a cloud covered grey gives it a layered look that appeals.
Other artwork I found amazing was Waiting for Master. It's on Christie's Twitter page and also on her website and is of a handsome male in chains. He doesn't look like a prisoner from the expression on his face, he's perfect, and more likely to do damage to others with those talons he has. He's merely waiting for his master to come and do unspeakable things to him. Those eyes have seen more than we know, but one thing is for sure, he's going to be in for a fun night when he gets there.
Necalli was found by Adam on the beach, presumed to be dead. Adam knew different though when he revived him back at his place. With his handsome looks and long hair, he had an idea he wasn't from these shores, but someone alien as well as beautiful. He had two options, kill him or help him back to being concious.
Just looking at Necalli makes me think that he would rather help him than choose death as a way out. The character Necalli is from Christie's erotically charged book The First Full Moon.
Christie's art is well drawn, her characters look back at the viewer with a sense of honesty, as though they are saying "this is who I am," they dare the viewer to look closer and see what each character has to say about themselves.
