Yo Sato's only started his first day of school and has already dropped down dead twice. Strangely enough, he wakes up and his second day starts out at hospital with him leaving and meeting a strange young girl.

After the incident he thinks he has lost his memory until he meets another girl at school with red eyes he thinks he should know. who is the red-eyed girl and what's she to do with his past?

As high school students only get breakfast provided for them, their lunch and dinner they have to source themselves - cue Yo and his friend trying to fight for the half-price bentos at Hokey-Mart. Yes, you heard right, fight for them, and after Yo's been warned away from Hokey-Mart several times before, the Ice-Cold Witch hopes what she said will soon sink in. Except, it doesn't as Yo's not the sort of guy who lets a fight for bentos bother him - so once he's signed up for the Half - Price Bento Club at school, he doesn't know what he's got himself into.

Ben-To starts out with a kid who has no idea what he is doing at school, to be one of the reckless team members of the Half-Price Bento Club where he's got more opportunities to get beat up, but gains more friends because of it. This is a feel-good anime that raises the bar on other animes of the same kind.

Bonus Material:
Play Episode 3 with Commentary, Play Episode 7 with Commentary, Bento Brawl with Justin Bojas and Joel McDonald, Text less Opening Song "Life For Life," Text less Opening Song "Treasure," Text less Closing Song "Formula of Smiles," and US Trailer.

Verdict: Madcap, fun and at times mental high school comedy that keeps on going!
