After months at sea, and a lot of boredom, Luffy and the crew reach land. Its a nice little island in the middle of nowhere and Luffy being in perfect form getting fruit in to replace lost stocks and other supplies while the rest of them stock up on fruit  and throw in a competition for good measure - who can get the most fruit? It's a good job Chopper is left on board to look after the ship or is it?
Chopper has to go look for water as he's caused trouble again for Robin who he makes it obvious to the viewer he doesn't like in the slightest. Sharing with her is the one thing  he wished he didn't have to do, but if he cares to look beyond his hatred for her, he might find  she is a much better person than he originally thought. While Luffy's men are still searching for valuable stocks they can use, they discover there aren't any other people on the island, but there are a lot of monkeys. As the story concentrates on Chopper's early life there are several flashbacks to how bad it was for him at the beginning.

Sanji is still trying to woo Namu even in the second episode, but as for whether he will get anywhere is anyone's guess. Smooth he might be, but he has to cool down or he might not ever get her as his. Sanji has the chance to cook for his two favourite ladies in A Recipe Handed Down! Sanji, The Iron Man of Curry! Basically this episode is a great step-by-step recipe and demonstration on how to make the perfect curry. One of the funniest episodes however, has Luffy and co going after the old goat guy and a bunch of other goats who are unhappy at first on seeing them. Though the stories are funny, and the break from the norm is good to see, for those who want to see more of an arc series, this one doesn't give too much away of what the next arc will be like.  One Piece is known for humour and silliness, especially from Chopper who, let's be honest has come a long way from being the timid and unhappy guy when he first met Luffy and his crew.

There are a lot of short single episodes in these discs with each one featuring and concentrating on one or maybe two characters, whether it is about their troubled past, comical future or a day in their lives that doesn't always go right. They are fun and serve as a break from the heavy storyline in collection 5. There is a new arc to come and while Luffy and his men (and women) stock up on goods, they will h ave to brave the new story arc of Skypiea.

Contains episodes 131-156.
Language: English, Japanese, English subtitles

Bonus Material: Commentary, Textless Opening & Ending title sequences.

Verdict: One Piece really has it all - comedy, action and adventure - sail the seven seas and more with this anime.
