Survivors is the third novel in the four part Voices series; Defender and Hunted being the previous two. Survivor starts out with Pilgrim wanting to remember his past while a voice in his head telling him to go find a girl who can explain what is happening and fill all the blanks he has in his memory.

The premise of the Voices series is that there are people who can hear voices and ones who want to silence them.

I got sent an uncorrected proof copy of this book for review so I didn't think there was any point in mentioning any mistakes in the story. I didn't think it would have any relevance. Waking in a shallow grave, Pilgrim has to be reminded of who he is and who the girl was who gave him the note and the book he discarded so easily. His memory isn't what it used to be, so the voice has to remind him what he has to do and where it is he has to go. He later remembers Ruby giving him the book and the friendship they shared.

Over the space of three books now, Todd has built up her world of voices and danger coming from those who hear the wrong ones. Pilgrim knows he must get to a girl called Lacey if he wants to win in a war that is yet to come. The good guys are rare but Pilgrim is one of them and this is one of those books I couldn't put down.
