One by one, these One Piece movies were released in the UK, but now you can get them all in one complete set from 7 to 9!

One Piece The Movie! 7: Mega Mecha Soldier of Karakuri Castle.

After a lot of adventure and peril, Luffy uses his Gum Gum Pistol power to catch up to the ship that has the treasure chest on it and once they are on calmer seas, they open it to see what is inside.

The sight of a made-up, kimono clad old woman doesn't inspire them to go on, but when she tells them her story that she was captured by pirates and hid form them in the treasure chest, it all makes more sense to them. When the woman mentions treasure, Nami questions her, thinking she might be teasing them. Lucky for Nami, she isn't when she tells of the legendary Golden Crown on her island. Nemi finds there is also a legendary story attached to it. The crown can only be worn by the king of the seas, and as it is only legend, it could also be complete fiction. Luffy likes the sound of it as he would love to be King of the Seas more than anything. Once Luffy has decided to get there, the old woman pulls out a compass called the kami-pose that will lead them to the island without fail. It could all be a holiday to find something that doesn't exist, but that wouldn't be much of a story would it? Everyone is here; the ever cute Chopper, Luffy gets a little seasick, but the old lady looks like she's been taken straight out of a playing card.

For the seventh movie, this one this one has tried to impress viewers by not changing the look of the characters. The animators have kept their look as they are in the series.

One Piece The Movie: 8: Episode of Alabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates.

In the previous movie, Luffy and his crew set sail for a strange island in search of the legendary Golden Crown that could only be worn by the king of the seas. In this movie, the king of the seas is a dangerous man called Crocodile. Crocodile has stolen alll the Dance Powder that is used to make rain clouds and had it taken to Alabasta's port town of Nanohara. Now rain only falls on the king's town, not anywhere else in Alabasta. Vivi the king's daughter knows her father is innocent of the crime of stealing the shipment of Dance Powder, thinking that Crocodile had transformed him somehow. Vivi wants to clear the king's name, but with the people of Alabasta hailing Crocodile as their saviour, Vivi knows she will have a hard time changing their minds.

So it's off for another adventure for Luffy's pirate crew. They see first-hand how the surrounding villages of Alabasta have suffered without rain. Rebel factions are planning to take over thanks to Crocodile changing things around the palace, though they never thought Vivi would show up with the Straw Hat Pirates in tow. Luffy finds out what is happening near Nanohara, but he win any friends by calling Vivi's uncle a 'Dried-Up Old Guy!' If they can stop the rebellion, maybe they can stop Crocodile, but it's a long shot, and for once they are willing to try no matter what the cost. With scenes like Vivi beating up Luffy, Crocodile killing Cobra and a licking camel you know it's going to be a fun thrill ride in a desert setting this time around. On, and did I Mention there is a huge crab they can ride on?

One Piece The Movie 9: Episode of Chopper and the Miracle Winter Cherry Blossom.

Luffy and his crew have all come together for one thing, the One Piece, a treasure left behind by the pirate king of legend, Gol D. Roger. Pirates come from far and wide to get to the Grand Line which is why it is now called the Great Age of Pirates. There are many pirates who have great fighting spirits who are also wanted dead or alive; Woonan, Bear KIng, Bigaloo, Boojack, Honey Queen, Shupeal, Skunk One, Wild Joe, Bugsy Hirokai, but the ones who are feared most are the pirates who have used the Devil Fruits.

You would think that with this being a part of the intro that the story would be about this, but this story involves Chopper from an earlier time, before he became a member of the crew. As it mentions in the intro, the ship's doctor is a valued member of the crew and without one, anything might happen and in this movies case it does. Nami comes down with an illness half way through an important voyage and has to be taken to an island to be treated - if they can find a doctor. This is where they first meet Chopper and things don't exactly go the way they are supposed to.

All three are funny, endearing and at times quite sad, but there are so many emotions to be said of One Piece and when the characters are down, at least the next scene they are back up again. This is a thoroughly entertaining set of three of the best movies so far to come from this series.

Bonus Material: None.

Verdict: Life on the high seas can't get any better than this! Three epic voyages in one set - brilliant!
