Madara has unleashed the Infinite Tsukuyomi, trapping his enemies in a never ending dreamworld while Sasuke protects Naruto and Sakura from being hypnotised using his susanoo power.

The main theme of this box set is each character trapped in Madara's dreamworld lives out a part of their life that never was. They each have their own world to explore, but never feel right in their alternate reality, feeling as though they don't belong, or the characters aren't who they are supposed to be.

Captain Yamato's reality has him fighting against a giant snake version of Kabuto (before he turned good). Then there is Tenten's dream sequence where Naruto is called Menma and Sasuke is a veritable Lothario around women and Lady Hinata is a ball-breaker. Tenten knows the world and people around her is fake though she is powerless to escape.

Karin's story is an interesting one even if it might also be fake, her mother had died as a result of her overusing her healing powers and Karin is used as her replacement to help revive the sick and injured of their village. She knows that one day she will follow her mother and die too, but a chance meeting with Lord Orochimaru seals her fate. The reason this story is interesting is we see her interacting with a younger looking Sasuke who helps her from being mauled by a bear and Lord Orochimaru acts more of a saviour than a manipulator in the whole episode. Here Karin has a choice to help Lord Orochimaru's men, even help Jugo with bearing his curse mark and later taking over one of the hideouts for him.

For some who like to watch a version of characters who are different from their normal selves this is the sort of set they want to view and enjoy, there is a lot to like about it, but there will be those viewers who think of the new box set to be more filler than anything else, but it is different for everyone depending on whether they like it. I kind of enjoyed seeing everyone out of character; a nicer Kabuto was fun to see, and a more caring Orochimaru, but what I did enjoy was the lead up episodes to what would become one of the Naruto movies; Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie.

Bonus Material: Clean Opening and Closing Animation, Storyboards and Production Art.

Summary: This is the terror of the Infinite Tsukuyomi realised - will Naruto and Sasuke make a difference in this cruel new world?
