Teaching Calvin to drive isn't such a good idea. Not when bad guys like Tangleweb are on the loose near the school and intent on killing the power rangers.

If you liked the first of this new power rangers series, there is more action, fight scenes and extreme cheesy dialogue from Saban. Now that the Power Rangers know more about the power stars, they also need to get more knowledge on how to use them in a battle situation. What I did notice with this series is the dialogue might be OTT, but the team can unite their power moves forming a concentrated blast on their enemy. When things are going well they have use of their strength, though when things aren't so good, they can rely on Mick to come up with some way of releasing them from the enemy grasp thanks to the prism.

For fans of the series, there are plenty of new episodes to enjoy. Key scenes are of  power rangers being attacked by Galvanax's cronies and Redbot falling for Hayley only to be rejected by her. Hayley doesn't understand why he wants her to accompany him to the school ball. She thinks he is being weird, but Redbot,  as her friends remind her is more than capable of emotions. When Redbot goes missing, Hayley feels ashamed that she dismissed him so easily and goes in search of him with her dog Cody at her side. This might not have been such a good idea on her part though as this makes her vulnerable to enemy attacks. Redbot deserves credit where its due for his performance as jilted guy robot and even if Hayley learns more of how robots feel when they are as advanced as he is, her realisation may do some good for a high schooler like her.

The lighter moments in this series were fun enough without being too doomy with Victor donning a Robin Hood costume ready for an archery tournament and encouraging something nasty when he lets loose one of his arrows. Victor is always on hand to provide the comic relief needed, especially when he is coupled with you know who during deliberate comedy scenes in the series.

There will always be mixed opinions when it comes to power rangers but all I can say is they have tried to keep it faithful to the original idea of the sentai fighting team.

Bonus Material: No extras.

Summary: Ninja Steel is one more example of some quality slapstick fun, action and comedy from Saban's own!
