Attack on Titan Season 3 is later on more about revisiting their old hometown of Almaria to see how bad it looks and, more importantly whether they can take it back from the Titan's grasp.

The survivors after the invasion decided to erect huge walls to keep out the giant intruders, and though the walls are there as a deterrent to them, the city hasn't seen a giant in over a hundred years.
