How would you feel if you woke up without any memories? Well, this is how Yuuta Hibiki feels. Yuuta is a first-year student at high school, trying to piece together his memories with the help of Hyper Agent, GRIDMAN who communicates with him through his computer.

He tells him he has the potential to complete his task and change the world, but first, he has to find his lost memories with other help from his friends as well, though we feel he might struggle a bit the further he goes as there is also a threat to Earth he hadn't considered.

For me, this was a lot like Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion as Lelouch started out as a normal teen with classmates who leads a double life and turns out to be much more than he appears.

Some like to have long-running anime series, they like how the story will turn out over several seasons and box sets, while others want to binge-watch series in one go with only twelve episodes to keep them interested. Case in point, Bleach and Naruto, they have lasted well over the years and as this one is shorter, at twelve episodes, it has only a short window to make viewers interested in it.

I didn't expect SSSS. Gridman to be a comedy, but it is and works well as one even though it is an action mecha. I have watched these type of TV series for over ten years and liked that it was a parody of several popular series of that genre; poking fun at such as Ultra, Code Geass and Appleseed. The story has us questioning what we see in daily life. Mostly why monsters attack the city and mostly why no one has any memory of it.

The good thing about this anime is that all the questions will be answered later; it doesn't keep viewers guessing as other anime do. Monsters vs. robots have never been so fun and entertaining. Yuuta has other allies to help him fight the monsters which are where we meet his other classmates; Rikka, Sho and Shinjo. All who help him out in battle and there are plenty of those. For those interested, this is more than just a monster of the month anime and the characters, animation and dialogue go into making this a wonderful watch.

Summary: There is a lot to be excited about with this title and a lot to watch and enjoy!
