Even if it is a TV show for younger viewers, there is a strategy to how the seasons introduce their new characters; Jake is introduced in season 1 and the Ice King in season 2, so the nice drip-feed of interesting characters makes the viewing more enjoyable, especially so as there is plenty to watch here with four hours of episodes to take in.

Yes, it's that time again, for kids to take time out to see what Finn and Jake are getting up to and with all 26 episodes and some bonus features like the character BMO as the disc set box. What is special about this third season is the DVD covers; they are all shaped like one of the characters; Finn is on the first, the Ice King on the second etc. They look simplistic, yet fun and with perfect colours that can capture their imagination.

For those of us who bought the two-disc DVD set, it comes with several extras to keep our younger viewers busy and creative as well as an Alternative Introduction by Screen Novelties which has the Lego alternative intro created by the Los Angeles based animation company, Screen Novelties and contains facts about how the series was made and how many Lego bricks made up the scenes and the characters.

With Adventure Time Complete Third Season you will have plenty to keep occupied with, whether it's making an additional DVD case, or watching the trailers, this is the fun family watch for 2019.
