What Asta and his friends did before as part of the Black Bulls is nothing compared to what they face now  as their new mission has them on the search for a stone that takes them into an underwater temple where mages lie in wait and, as usual, they risk their lives for the sake of their team!

Noelle is in with a chance of getting them into the temple as she has insider information from a mystery girl who uses her magic to help her, though, along the way, Vetto of the Third Eye makes an appearance, taking them out for his chance to get the stone. This time around, it really is up to Asta to show his team he can take on even the most seasoned and dangerous opponent.

For those who expected the first episode to be an action-packed one, they would be in for a shock as this is more of a comedic episode which acts as a softener before things get more serious at the end of this season, and it does, and in the same way as you might think this story is all about Asta, it can shift its direction to another more deserving character, Noelle who tends to shine in this part of the series and I am hopeful she will continue to shine in season 2.

Before Noelle might have felt unsure of her place in the Black Bulls, here she is confident she can make a difference with the other members. Asta, on the other hand, has a chance to give his all against all enemies if he applies himself and I am glad to say he does. Not bad for a kid who wasn't sure he could fight against more stronger enemies before.

Overall, Black Clover Season 1 Part 5 has an interesting plot, some good new characters and some well-developed characters we have known from the start who have progressed better than expected. The animation is what holds the series together, keeping its fantasy and dark side with touches of comedic fun in there with some neat extras thrown in for good measure make this an entertaining watch.

Blu-ray Only Special Features: Inside Studio J: The Art of Acting, Inside the Episode, Episode 45 Commentary, Episode 51 Commentary, Clover Clips Special Edition, Textless Songs.

Summary: Asta and Noelle are the main feature of this set, but there are new and interesting characters waiting in the wings to take centre stage, so watch out!
