In most superhero series the people are normal and there are a few who have special powers who are considered to be either a boon or a threat. In this animes case, most of the people have special powers they can use to make themselves a career.

Their power here is known as quirk and our hero Deku Midoriya has no talent to be a superhero even though it is what he has always wanted. All Might is the one hero he looks up to he would most like to be even if for him it's not a possibility. Watching this had me remember a similar anime, Tiger & Bunny that dealt with heroes in a ranking system.

For a potential hero to grow he has to go through great pain first and Deku has to undergo plenty of that; being bullied at school and being told at an early age he had no quirk powers and should have accepted defeat but later a chance rescue by All Might gives him the opportunity to thank him and at the same time train him to become a hero so he can attend the hero academy. What Deku does is in an incident after their first meeting convinces All Might to train him as he sees potential in him.

My Hero Academia is a real " root for the underdog" anime and ss you watch him live his life you get a sense of how a kid with no powers can make something of his life regardless of already having the powers to start with. It is the sort of feelgood series that has lots of heart and some cool moves.

Bonus Material: None.

Summary: There is nothing like rooting for the underdog and this  is the anime to watch if you like watching a true hero come to have his day!
