Dekomori isn't alright with Rikka marrying Yuta and isn't afraid to tell her-when shes about to step into church. His friend is happy he has managed to get to the point where he can have a good life with the kind of woman that would suit him - he's happy for him, he really is, but he might be the only one!
This, I will tell you now is for devoted fans of the original series only as it serves only to retell the first series of Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions. The only difference is this is Rikka's version of events as she sees them. And as she witnesses her wedding and subsequent invasion of her servant, Dekomori, she wonders whether she could even have a life outside of who she really is. Maybe the life she would have liked for herself would be like the rest, a delusion.
In these episodes we get to take a look at how her life unfolded from when Rikka first met Yuta to the point where she thinks she will marry him. I suppose this anime version can serve as a way of telling us that even if we might want to go a certain path, we have no chance of it working out the way we believe it will. Rikka has so much going for her; her friends, life around Yuta and her powers go toward making her life a little richer than it was before, but still, it has the capacity for not working out as good as she wants it.
Rikka's first meeting with Yuta was based on a misunderstanding as Rikka thought he was the Dark Flame Master as he had boasted early on at school. He now strongly denies his claim, but she still believes he is the one who has the power needed to make their coven great and her greater as a Chunibyo. A lot about her is delusional as she could make friends, but only has Yuta, Dekomori and Touka as those she keeps in contact with.
This series will surely be a hit with the shonen viewers out there as it starts out with a huge battle that takes place inside the church while the rest of the congregation watches in amazement! The battle only ends when the story starts right from the beginning, showing how Rikka's relationship with Yuta blossoms and she intends to become more like a human woman in order to have a normal life. It's school, slice of life, comedy and drama all rolled into one with some neat witchcraft to boot.
Bonus Material: Special features are Clean Opening Animation, Clean Closing Animation, Japanese Previews. Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions! Lite: My Brother 2.
Summary: If you liked the first series of the original, this is a retelling that leaves out all the unnecessary bits.
