Based on the popular video game, gun wielding vixen, Bayonetta wants to remember her past in between bouts of killing off evil angels and demons. There are several people who seem to know a lot about her, but are unwilling to say a thing; a girl who calls her "Mummy," a journalist and a white-haired woman who knows about the time before she fell asleep.

Can we say "shiny?" That's what Bayonetta's black outfit looks like when her white outfit has been torn to pieces by her angel enemies. Waiting inside a church that was the site of a suicide pact to revive a god, she takes them on by herself while they try to kill her by using their golden trumpets as weapons. To remind viewers of such anime series as Trinity Blood and Devil May Cry, Bayonetta acts like a female Abel Nightroad whit her moves and sex appeal, but her named twin guns

Gaming fans will get a real thrill with this movie as Studio Gonzo have decided to give it that old school touch to remind gamers of the original game this movie was taken from. Also, to make the gaming feel complete, Helena Taylor has lent her voice to the movie, being the original voice of the character in the game. The cover art hits you in the face with the image of Bayonetta surrounded by the rest of the memorable characters under a full moon. This movie is action-packed and hellishly sexy on a grand scale with Bayonetta making all the sensual moves.

Being the first time Bayonetta has been brought to viewers as an anime by Gonzo, who have also brought us Origin: Spirits of the Past, Linkin Park's "Breaking The Habbit," music video and Afro Samurai: Resurrection. It comes with English, Japanese and English Subtitles.

Bonus Material: Director's Commentary with Jonathan Klein, English Language Voice Director and Helena Taylor (voice of Bayonetta), Trailer and Storyboards.

Verdict: Hot, fun and raucous!
