Just when we thought it would be easy to sort out DIO and his cohorts in the previous set, this continues the problems that Joseph and Jotaro are finding when they are trying to eradicate the problem of DIO and cure Holly's illness.
It would be too good to be true to expect they can do this as DIO has become so strong and his cohorts are so many.
Japan has a great interest in the occult, especially Western practises of divination such as palmistry and Tarot cards, and it's tarot cards that feature a great deal in this third set of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It is the Stands that the Tarot cards are based on, but they are ones formed for the show and each one has its own power, and most of them are very strong indeed.
The story of Jotaru Kujo continues from the previous series where, along with his Stand power, he and his men go to Cairo to help heal his mother, but to do this they have to kill Dio and his men. As we have seen in the past, it will be certain death trying and there is a problem as they have to kill Dio within a 50 day time frame.
One of the strange things about this set of three volumes is all three are set in different time periods, 1938 and 1987 in the final one. Jotaro and the team are not alone in their quest, they inherit a new member, Iggy a dog who has Stand powers; he comes in handy when he's not in a mood.
As we have also seen in countless other anime series, the hero or heroes have to go through lots of strong enemies before they get to the main enemy who ends up being the strongest one of them all. In this case it is Dio whose Stand power is The World.
Bonus Material: Clean Opening and Ending Songs.
Summary: It is no wonder that this series has been popular as it has most of the elements of the manga and can be enjoyed as much as possible.
