With each issue of Faerie Magazine there is a theme while other issues were of snow queens, practical magic, warrior goddesses and the faerie court, and to my delight this months' theme is of Tolkien. I remember reading his books at a young teen age when interest in the otherworldly was at the forefront of my mind. This issue captures what readers would think of when they explained Tolkien's world for the first time.

What seems like another fan-service anime had me question what I thought about this series. I admit I thought it was made up of cliche teen problems, ideas on how to become the next best thing of the blogging industry and how to win friends as a no-hope NEET, but Occultic;Nine has more substance than that. Ryoka is the one with the distracting DD Cups who bounces around and ends up being the most useless one of the nine even if she does  have a bouncy, bubbly attitude to life. Ryoka also provides the fan-service for the entire series and had me wondering at first if there was a plot to this.

As Rin has to control his flame powers, he trains on the roof, but still finds it hard to perfect his technique, which is bad considering he has been warned he will be executed if his flames get out of control again.

Any self-respecting fan of the series should get their hands on this, whether it is part of the set or on its own. Not just for having it, but from a cosplay standpoint as well. This particular pendant (there are others) is of Flemel's Cross and it is the symbol familiar to all FMA viewers that we see in the series. It is on Edward Elric's jacket and his brother, Alphonses armour suit.
