So far Fairy Tail has had its fair share of strange happenings, battles and unusual quests for items no one previously knew about. This time the town is sent to a place called Edolas where magic has been practically unheard of, and the kingdom's real idea is to take it from Fairy Tail. Natsu and his friends have to search for their friends, but are shocked to find that this Fairy Tail has some strange inhabitants who look exactly the same as his friends - but the problem is they don't act at all like the ones he knew.

The main story of this set instantly reminded me of the movie Naruto: Road to Ninja where Naruto is sent to an alternate universe where Sakura, Guy, Kakashi etc have completely different personalities to the ones he knows. The quest itself is funny as Natsu gets to see his friends in a different light even though he has to set things right later.

This box set of two discs has several different episodes where Natsu and co are in search of a cherry blossom tree that turns into rainbow colours at night. Another story has a 24-hour endurance road race where no one from the Fairy Tail guild has ever won it, and could suffer a forfeit, Wendy's first job, a fairy hunter and guild arts. The first episode has Natsu, Gray and his buddies travelling to the site of the rainbow tree, but it isn't long before Natsu and Gray are at each other's throats even though getting there can give them a big pay off. In Wendy's First Big Job Wendy is used to taking the smaller jobs in Fairy Tail, but she thinks she can take on the bigger ones too. Natsu and Gray agree, telling her that it's fun going away on more important jobs though what they aren't telling her is how dangerous they are too. As a job comes up, Wendy wants to do it, but the others are sceptical it is as good as it makes out. The head of the guild decides to send her away with Happy and Free who can look after her as this will be an entirely new learning experience for her. In the 24-Hour Endurance Road Race, Grey gets his shirt off again when he competes, but Lucy remembers the punishment that came after the previous years race. Apart from Grey's shirtlessness, the winged mike and turtle crystal ball are funny accessories, but its the competition that fires up the residents of Fairy Tail enough to want to win.

Just about everyone in Fairy Tail is a likable character, and each episode is as good as the last.

Contains episodes 73-84.
Languages: English, Japanese, English subtitles

Bonus Material: Episode 74 Commentary, Episode 79 Commentary, Text less Opening Song,"Evidence," Text less Closing Song, "Hitori Samishiku," and US Trailers.

Verdict: Fun, adventurous and silly at times - you wouldn't want it any other way!
