Some of my favourite tie-in novels are in the Titan Books list for this new year; Gotham Dawn of Darkness, The Flash, The Haunting of Barry Allen, Arrow: Vengeance and Arrow: Generation of Vipers are a few and for avid readers of the Batman comics movies and novels can invest time in these new titles.

What could be worse than The Joker attacking The Batman? The Joker attacking all those he considers friends. Robin, Commissioner Gordon, Alfred, Nightwing and other superheroes are targeted to frustrate Batman enough to take action. Only a terrible secret that comes to light will hurt Batman even more and cause him to lose sight of his true objective.

There are the standard conventions in Manchester and London and there are the unexpected ones. KnightCon is one of the latter. It is held once a year at the Xscape in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England both out at the car park, and inside, though only one floor was used. Unlike most cons, this celebrates the many vehicles used in popular TV series such as Knight Rider, The A Team and The Dukes of Hazzard. Many bring these vehicles to the event for both old and new fans of the series to see them up close and personal.
