Leo and Rosa have a problem. Toads. Lots of toads. They have come to their town running amok and it is up to them to stop these toads taking over. Rosa has managed to capture one which is a good thing as her dad is a presenter on the Warts and All TV show, but how can they keep these pesky creatures at bay?

Rosa's dad wants to study the toad then let it back into the wild but as its a flying toad and causing so much trouble Rosa wonders what they can do. From the first day one landed on Leos' head, he knew he would have a problem with these toads. However, his involvement with Rosa takes his mind off having to help his dad with his new project.

Upper Dab was a normal town with some colourful people in it until the toads arrived. Now that they are here, they inspire Leos mum into having an idea that could take off in a big way if it works. Even though she sees the toads as a godsend, there are others in the town who want to take matters into their own hands after Mary Grimbows cat, Nigel is their next target.

Toad Attack! Isn't short on humour as Patrice has teamed up with artist Becca Moor to give us a comical representation of how the toads look with their small green bodies and beady red eyes. She knows how to make them look pesky enough. Patrice has penned a real winner with this new novel with her diverse characters and hilarious outcome for the toads I could see this being a fun read for children now that spring is here.
