From the opening you know you are going to take to this anime as Sakamoto is the sort of guy other guys want to be like. He is a cross between Uryu Ishida from Bleach and Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler.
Three guys in his class keep wanting to take him out in a fight or make him look stupid in front of his admiring girls. But whatever they do they can't beat him. The comedic moments come from the three classmates plotting together while playing ball outside. The first episode has them resenting Sakamoto for being so stylish, suave and cool though later they think he is actually a decent guy.
This realisation from others runs through the episodes, each one finds Sakamoto helping his classmates. In one episode he has to help Kubota defend himself from school bullies who steal his lunch money. Thinking it would be a good idea to have Kubota get his independence, he gets them both a job at their local WacDonald's. When the bullies discover where they are, the fun continues with Sakamoto showing off his slick moves while encouraging Kubota to come up with some of his own; French Fries Salt Attack and Buns Press are funniest.
This seems a slice of life comedy as Sakamoto takes viewers through his schooldays. Aya is too used to having things her own way where boys are concerned, thinking she can get her way with Sakamoto as she's been trying to get his attention and he's been ignoring her every seductive move. Instead of falling for her charms, he helps her befriend the classmates she has seen as rivals for the past year.
