Barnaby's missing presumed awol and Kotetsu's still trying to get hold of him. The rest of the heroes are stumped at how he's gone without a trace, but none of them know the real story, that Barnaby has been betrayed by the one man he looked up to the most.
As Kotetsu gets deeper into finding out who killed Barnaby's parents, he finds he is framed for the murder of Samantha Taylor, Barnaby's close friend and former maid to the family. This is where the series changes from being fun and carefree to serious as one man threatens the camaraderie the heroes have been getting for years.
No one knows what will happen but Lunatic is keeping a close eye on everyone, including the criminals of Stern Bild. It is interesting to see how the heroes have been manipulated from day one and this series of six episodes is what cements Kotetsu and Barnaby together, but it is also sadly the last part of the series, so these episodes neatly tie up the loose ends. Kotetsu might act like an idiot but he proves he has higher intelligence when it comes to his partner Barnaby. Like in the previous series when Lunatic's back story played out, there are a lot of emotional scenes in this part and the photograph that Samantha has could give Kotetsu a clue as to her murderer and the murderer of Barnaby's family.
It is a shame that this was such a short series as there is scope for us to see a much longer one. There are the other heroes, the incidental heroes and the members of Oroborous and various other criminals too, so we can only hope that there will be another series.
Bonus Material: Disk 1: Ustream, Mini Corner, Volume 3. Disc 2: Meet the Cast.
Verdict: This is the end of the line for Tiger and Bunny - question is will they win out? Such a fun and exciting anime should never be overlooked - this one is for your collectors' shelf!
